Anblik Accessibility Audit
Redesign Anblik website to modern and WCAG Compliant accessible website using Ananyoo theme.
This Anblik accessibility audit shows how we hold our own website to the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard we deliver for clients. M/S. Anblik is an accessible web design company based in Kolkata, India, and since 2003 we have designed, built and tested websites and mobile apps so that they work for everyone – including people who rely on screen readers, keyboards or screen magnification.
This very website is held to the same standard we deliver for clients: designed in Figma, developed on our own accessibility-ready Ananyoo WordPress theme, and checked with real assistive technology. You can see the same approach applied across our web accessibility case studies.

Why an accessible web design company builds access in from day one
For an accessible web design company, access can never be an add-on bolted on at the end – it has to be part of the first wireframe. Around one in six people live with some form of disability, and a site that ignores them quietly turns real customers away. Designing to standards such as WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III also produces cleaner code, faster pages and stronger search performance, so accessibility and good business move in the same direction.
The standard we hold ourselves to
Every Anblik project is measured against WCAG 2.1 Level AA across its four principles – perceivable, operable, understandable and robust – and we apply that same baseline to our own website, not just to client work. Our practice is led by a DHS Trusted Tester on Accessibility who is also IAAP certified, so testing follows recognised, repeatable methods rather than guesswork.
How we design and test for accessibility
Every build moves through the same hands-on and automated checks before it goes live:
- Screen-reader testing with JAWS and NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on iOS, and TalkBack on Android
- Full keyboard-only operation, with a logical focus order and a clearly visible focus indicator
- Colour-contrast checks with the Colour Contrast Analyzer, plus 400% zoom and reflow testing for low-vision users
- Automated scans with Deque axe, Google Lighthouse and WAVE to catch regressions early
- Final verification against WCAG 2.1 AA, signed off by a DHS Trusted Tester and IAAP-certified specialist
What we build for our clients
From brochure sites to WooCommerce stores, we design and develop digital products that are accessible by default and comfortable to use on any device:
- Accessible web design: clean, modern interfaces planned around colour contrast, focus and clear structure.
- Development and themes: standards-based front-end work and our own accessibility-ready Ananyoo WordPress theme.
- Accessibility audits: manual and automated reviews mapped to WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria.
- Remediation: fixing existing sites and apps and re-testing every issue to confirm it is resolved.
- Accessibility statements and VPAT: clear documentation of conformance for your users and stakeholders.
Outcome
This Anblik accessibility audit proves our own website passes the same JAWS, NVDA, axe, Lighthouse and WAVE checks we run for clients, meets WCAG 2.1 AA and stays fully usable on mobile – an accessible web design company should practise exactly what it sells.

Frequently asked questions
What does the Anblik accessibility audit cover?
The audit checks the complete website against WCAG 2.1 AA. This includes keyboard-only operation, screen-reader output on JAWS, NVDA, TalkBack and VoiceOver, colour-contrast ratios, visible focus, clear form labels, heading structure and responsive behaviour right down to small mobile screens. Both the desktop and mobile layouts are tested, so nothing is missed on any device.
Which standards and testing tools were used?
Testing follows WCAG 2.1 AA along with India’s Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Manual checks are paired with automated passes in Deque axe, Google Lighthouse and WAVE, so every issue is confirmed by both real assistive technology and trusted tooling, not by guesswork.
Who carried out the work?
The Anblik accessibility audit was carried out by Shivaji Mitra of M/S. Anblik, a DHS Trusted Tester and IAAP-certified accessibility consultant based in Kolkata, working in web accessibility since 2003.
What do you get at the end?
You receive a clear report of every barrier found, grouped by severity, with the exact fix for each one. After remediation the site is re-tested and validated, so the final result is a website that is usable by everyone and passes both automated and manual accessibility checks.
